Pastoral, Office, and Music Staff

Rev. Dr. Wayne Eberly, Pastor, became the pastor at APC in February of 2023. Having been ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 1986, Wayne has served churches in Sacramento and Fresno, California, and for 20 years was the pastor at Pines Presbyterian Church in Houston. From 2015-2023 Wayne pastored the Dunn's Corners Community Church, Presbyterian in Rhode Island. Wayne has a love for preaching and served as an adjunct faculty member with Fuller Seminary’s Texas campus, teaching their preaching course. In 2009 he completed his studies at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and was awarded the Doctor of Ministry Degree.

Wayne and Julie celebrated their 40th anniversary on August 20, 2022, and are blessed to have four children. Their sons live in Houston. Jake and his wife Bridget are the parents of Clara and Paul. Alex and his wife Tay are the parents of Blake. Wayne and Julie have fallen in love with the area around the church, taking full advantage of the many walking trails, enjoying the delicious food scene, and learning the rich history of the Humble.

Wayne has a love for the whole church family, finding great joy in time with the children, the teens, with families, and with friends who have been blessed with many years and a wide variety of experiences. Being a pastor is his passion, seeking to share the love of Christ as the church reaches out to the world with the message of hope, healing, and wholeness.
