Atascocita Presbyterian Church offers several ministries for adults. Please feel free to contact the church office if you have any questions about any of the following.
9:20 Sunday Mornings
Wired Word–A discussion of current topics using the “Wired Word” meets in the library.
A new bible study led by Brian Long begins on October 2. This study will have a new “twist” in that it will focus on the scripture which is in the lectionary for the following Sunday. This timing will give you a week to prepare to listen to the sermon based on that scripture. This class meets in the conference room left of the sanctuary.
The young adults are studying If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat by John Ortberg. They meet Sunday mornings at 9:20 a.m. in the class room right of the sanctuary.

Wednesday Evenings; Book Discussion Group
For now, we continue to meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month
For February, we are reading Higher Ground: A Memoir of Salvation Found and Lost, about a woman who, after living 20 years as a “deeply religious” Christian, left her faith (go to the link for more information and a link to the trailer for the movie from the book that was released in 2011).
For March we are reading The Bible Made Impossible: Why Biblicism is Not a Truly Evangelical Reading of Scripture.
