Life after Ike
Ike certainly left his mark on our community but I believe he left us with changed hearts. So many reached out to help each other, Families reconnected without the intrusion of television, and the church family remains strong. I was telling my husband that lately it seems everything is BI (Before Ike) or AI (After Ike). Let’s see what Atascocita Presbyterian Church does AI. How will we begin our plans and dreams for this next year? How will each of us prayerfully decide what level of giving we can joyously offer to the church? What will be our level of participation in the work and service that APC offers to the community and beyond? I know that Ike does not define us as a church community but maybe it made us reflect a bit on our commitments – where is the fat that we can trim and what is muscle that is essential to the well being of the BODY. I hope to see you this Sunday for Sunday School and worship. Blessings in Christ, Jackie
